Movie Story: A Hindu Brahmin boy experiences falls in love with Muslim young lady from his neighborhood. Does their love passed through the acid common test?

Movie Review: Raanjhanaa is a romantic love story that has a Shakespearean touch and is mounted on a luxurious scale. Set in Benaras, it might sense, the core of India, the first half in the lively city where the Ganges streams, just deeply inspires you with its colours and feels. The plot pursues Kundan (Dhanush), a Tam-Bram settled in Benaras. A slight drifter, he falls miserably infatuated with Zoya (Sonam Kapoor), a genuinely well-to-do Muslim young lady in his neighborhood. Furthermore, his sentiments are wonderfully passed on through dialogue composed by Himanshu Sharma and songs made by Rahman.

Like a obsessed doggie, Kundan is glad to shadow Zoya from morning to night, till her parents know about it. Naturally, they believe it's preposterous for their teenage little girl to have an crazy Hindu admirer. So she is quickly 'banished' to live with an auntie in another city.

But the separation can't stop Kundan's captivation from developing wings. Taking a promise of abstinence, he wait persistently for his woman love to return home. When she returns, she discusses how she has experienced passionate feelings for another man Akram/Jaspreet (Abhay Deol), a senior at her college in Delhi. Kundan is crushed yet he shows at least a bit of kindness of gold. He pretty much yields to turning into the best man at Zoya's association to Jassi. Be that as it may, life doesn't happen in a straight line. The different wanders aimlessly that pursue disentangle a riddle.

What's more, around this time, the chinks in the content likewise appear. Out of the blue, Raanjhanaa appears two changed movies. In the main half, it is a fascinating, serious, introspective romantic story, where you feel for the characters. In the second half flim, the romantic story gets weakened to clear a path for gobbledygook political belief system that is an irritant.

Chief Aanand Rai  has been credited for drawing a superlative performance from the National Award-champ Tamil superstar, Dhanush, who makes his Hindi film debut here. His Kundan is a jewel (play on words proposed). Sonam Kapoor is in top structure giving Zoya a few conceals from giggly to grey. Unfortunately, she gets covered more for her fashion and design than her true mettle like as an actor.
